O.St.J. - Invested as a Serving Brother in the Order of St John for services to Mountain Rescue (June 1996) and promoted to Officer January 2006. (Alan has recently stepped down from the post of Deputy Leader/Training Officer of Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team and as a Committee Member of Aberdeen & St John Mountain Rescue Association). M.R.I.C.S. - Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (November 1986) (Alan trained as a Chartered Surveyor and previously ran an office in Aberdeen for a National Practice before setting up “Mountain Skills” and “First Aid Matters”. His background is in professional services, management and administration) Alan Crichton has built up his experience based upon thirty plus years as a qualified First Aider. Alan is also a qualified Senior First Aid Instructor and, given his commitment to Scottish Mountain Rescue since 1983, specialises in Mountain First Aid. |
