Since August 1997 we have been registered with the Health & Safety Executive to deliver and certify H.S.E. First Aid at Work Courses. Registration No. 42/97.

 

Specialising in Mountain First Aid following a twenty five year involvement commitment with Scottish Mountain Rescue

COURSE CONTENTS AND PROGRAMMES

· APPOINTED PERSONS COURSE— Half Day Course; minimum contact time 4 hours. Covering the rudiments of First Aid, Accident Procedure and Emergency Action. (H.S.E Certificate; continuous assessment)

 

· EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK COURSE – One Day Course; contact time 6 hours. (H.S.E. Certificate; continuous assessment)

 

· BASIC LIFE SUPPORT COURSE – One Day Course; contact time 6 hours. Course covers Accident Procedure, C.P.R., Bleeding & Fractures. (Certificate of Attendance only)

 

· EMERGENCY TWO DAY FIRST AID COURSE – Two Day Course; contact time 16 hours. Course covers Accident Procedure, C.P.R., Bleeding & Fractures, Common Medical Illnesses & Injuries, First Aid Kits and Recording. (Certificated; continuous assessment). Incorporates Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate and suitable for Mountain Leader certification etc.

 

· FIRST AID AT WORK COURSE – Three Day Course; contact time 18 hours. Course covers Accident Procedure, C.P.R., Bleeding & Fractures, Common Medical Illnesses & Injuries, Casualty Management & Handling, Hot & Cold Injuries, First Aid Kits and Recording.  (Certificated; oral and practical examination at end of course)

 

· INCIDENT MANAGEMENT/TRIAGE - One day course; contact time 6 hours. This course will look at the rudiments of Incident Management including Casualty Prioritisation, Management and Delegation, Communication Skills. This course is primarily practically based. (Certificate Of Attendance Only)
